Job Description:
RVCC is currently seeking a Part-time Peer Educator for the Project HOPE (Healthy Options for Prevention and Education). This is a temporary grant funded position for 24 months.  
 
Peer Educator will assist the Project Manager in each step of the SPF (Strategic Prevention Framework) process, especially in engaging the target population and implementing the selected evidence-based environmental prevention program.  
 
In addition the Peer Educator will assist in establishing a BACCHUS (Boosting Alcohol Consciousness Concerning the Health of University Students) chapter at RVCC to promote healthy and safe lifestyle decisions related to substance use and other high-risk behaviors. Provide data collection, tabulation, identification of resources and needs specific to the target population and other administrative support duties as required.

Requirements:
Qualifications:  
 
High School Diploma or GED. Currently enrolled in an associate degree program at RVCC; between the ages of 18 and 25, upon employment.  
 
This is a 24 month position, 12 hours a week @$12 an hour.
